Join SD Systems at the Frankfurt Messe / Prolight+sound as we celebrate
25 years as world's top manufacturer of instrument microphones !

Since in 1981 no microphone existed that could provide quality sound amplification of his saxophone without limiting his freedom of movement on stage, Serge Schrier, saxophonist, founded SD Systems. 1984 saw the release of the now legendary LCM 85 microphone.

Over the following two decades SD Systems has grown to be the finest manufacturer of professional instrument microphones attaining the highest standards for instrument amplification.
SD Systems microphones are manufactured from the highest quality materials, are individually designed for specific instruments and fixed to the best acoustical places. Elegant touches have been added such as silver and gold plating to harmonize with the beauty of each individual instrument.
SD Systems microphones are endorsed by many of today's most popular musicians in the classical, jazz and rock fields.

Sting's ever growing list of contributions and guest appearances continues with a vocal contribution on trumpeter Chris Botti's

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxT.o.P.!xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx       new album "Slowing Down The World". On the album Sting continues the Sinatra theme displayed at the March's Rainforest show with a cover of "In The Wee Small Hours". The album was released in June.

2 Decades of experience in amplification of the instruments of world famous artists such as Stan Getz, Marcus Miller, Roby Lakatos, Dizzy Gillespie, Kenny Garrett and Wind & Brass players of Tower of Power, Rolling Stones, Prince, Sting, Paul Simon, BB King, Supertramp, Earth Wind & Fire, culminates in the definitive solution for miking Brass & Woodwind in studio situations:
the STM 99 series.
There is a variety in top-quality shock-mounts and exchangeable elements to fulfill the demand of today's project and pro-studio.

Top of the line is the deep and warm sounding
STM-99 large diaphragm element pictured right.
The patents pending mounting systems are proved to be the best in the world for different studio situations while giving the player
freedom of movement.
